In 2005, a European study and a North American study showed a direct link between lung cancer and radon exposure at home. These studies ended the debate about radon-related health problems as being mere occupational hazards. They established that being exposed to...
Every year, radon takes thousands of lives. It is estimated that 21,000 lung cancer deaths were due to prolonged radon exposure. According to the Surgeon General of the United States, radon is the second most common cause of lung cancer in the country. Radon is a...
Any house — old or new— could have a radon problem without the owners even knowing it. In fact, one in 15 homes across the country has a radon problem, with levels exceeding the safe limit of 4 pCi/L. If your area has a radon level that exceeds this limit, it’s of...
Are you selling a property in Anne Arundel County, Maryland? Don’t forget to schedule radon testing —and mitigation when necessary. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the State of Maryland recommend having real estate properties for sale across the state to...
The real estate market in Annapolis and Severna Park, Maryland is very hot, with many residential properties often selling as soon as they are listed. Because of this, it’s understandable that many would want to close a deal and move into their new homes as quickly as...
Radon is a radioactive gas that is present in water, soil, and air. As it is colorless and odorless, it could be difficult to detect by an untrained individual. It’s important to reach out to a certified radon inspector for any radon-related concerns. But before you...
Atlantic Radon technician, Daniel, installed a full radon abatement system in our home, replacing a very old system. He evaluated our home and customized the installation to fit our significant structural limitations. Daniel was timely, neat and careful in performing all of the work. We appreciate his professionalism and highly recommend Atlantic Radon.

We are in a new construction home and did a couple radon tests that came back ~20 pCi/L. We asked Atlantic Real Estate Services to install a Radon Mitigation system, which went really well! The latest test showed less than ~0.8 pCi/L.
* Scheduling - It was really easy with scheduling time for the initial walkthrough, a day to install the system, and follow up. Tommy worked around our schedule and always messaged shortly before arriving.
* Communication - He made sure we understood each step of the process and its purpose as he went along.
* Attention to Detail - He made it blend into the house aesthetics and even filled in a few spots the builder missed.
* Cost - It's within the range we expected for this type of system. And definitely worth the quality.
I would definitely recommend this company.

We had a difficult, double foundation challenge and readings above 6.
Paul designed a creative and cost-effective solution and got our readings to below 1. The team was professional, creative, open to suggestions and truly cared about their work and results. If you have a radon issue, look no further than Atlantic Radon.

I have already recommended Atlantic Real State Services for radon mitigation services to several friends. I live in a single-family home in Howard County contacted several companies. Tommy was the only one who demonstrated the knowledge and interest to answer all my questions and explain the mitigation process. Also, Tommy was honest with his estimate to layout the work that needed to be done to get the best result within my budget 😊 Other companies proposed doing additional work that would have not made a lot of different in the result but increase the project cost by a lot!
We are very happy with the system and the results. Tommy worked hard to make sure the system was installed as discussed and it visually blends with the outside of the house. I highly recommend this company!
